We are passionate about training and development. Our on-boarding program is focused on extensive training to help ensure employees are confident and capable of doing their job at the highest level. Our commitment to training our staff to be successful is one of the strengths of Awake.
At Awake, all employees will participate in 1 on 1 meetings with their direct supervisor at a minimum of twice per month. This direct, private feedback loop helps ensure employees know exactly how they are performing, areas they can improve, and also provides a chance to give feedback to their boss.
Awake will also offer continuing education and volunteer opportunities around our social mission and our goal to combat mass incarceration and reduce recidivism. This training will educate and inform on this critical civil rights issue, while also providing volunteer opportunities.
The co-founders of Awake are passionate about leadership development. Our Leadership Academy courses happen three times per year and a variety of books, podcasts, and curriculum are used or developed to help shape and grow our staff to reach their leadership potential.
At times throughout the year, employees will be afforded the opportunity to participate in Financial Peace University classes. Participation in the classes is voluntary, but employees will be paid while they attend and learn more about how to best manage their finances and plan for the future.
We believe that the world is going through a mental health crisis. For this reason, mental health training and courses will be offered to employees to help facilitate best practices in mental health and wellness.
