Job Description
The Shipping Clerk will assist the Shipping team by scheduling inbound/outbound 3rd party loads, maintaining accurate shipment information in Awake’ systems and assisting with loading and banding as needed. They will also be the primary point of contact for customers on all shipping inquiries between Production and the Sales Team. This role will report directly to the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.

Tasks/Detailed Work Activities
- Locate finished goods within the Locator Power App
- Prep shipping paperwork, manifest, picklist and consolidation reports with prefilled notes (2nd/3rd truck, stops, backordered units, etc.) and provide to shipping lead in a timely manner allowing time for accurate staging to occur.
- Create the weekly shipping schedule in a timely manner and communicate the plan with the shipping lead allowing time for accurate consolidation to occur.
- Ensure all shipment documentation is completed appropriately and printed before 3rd party trucks arrive to be loaded (BOL, Commercial invoice).
- Send final manifest and delivery confirmation emails to customers and internal teams.
- Update and maintain the weekly whiteboard with relevant shipping and logistics information.
- Conduct final truck audits to verify accuracy before departure.
- Manage and organize glass crate packing slips for proper documentation.
- Review and vet jobsite deliveries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Input and track deliveries in Power Apps for real-time visibility.
- Provide two-week advance notifications for upcoming shipments.
- Coordinate with brokers to facilitate smooth transportation logistics.
- Monitor and update orders to keep shipments on schedule.
- Support special projects as needed to improve shipping operations.
- Maintain accurate shipment Information in Power Apps (Customers notes, Internal notes, Carriers, Ship dates, etc.)
- Use company provided cell phone to text customers, drivers, sales team, and service team.
- Reports problems or concerns with quality, processes to the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.
- Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Management.
- Ensure efficient and timely completion of interdepartmental communication.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each team member understands the norms and behaviors expected of them.
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.

- Standing for long periods of time, walking, crouching, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds overhead.
- Sufficient visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to regularly talk and hear (the noise level in the shop can be loud.)

- Organized and clean workflow promote collaboration amongst employees
- Respirators are required in limited environments to prevent inhalation of any hazardous particles
- Appropriate PPE is required as operation of some equipment may expose employees to noise levels exceeding 85 dBA, or debris from cutting and drilling
- Employees will be working in an evaporative cooled, non-air conditioned environment.While efforts are made to create a comfortable environment with plenty of air movement, temperatures may reach over 90 degrees in summer months.
Job Specifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: Six months working in fabrication and/or manufacturing (preferred)
Technology/Desktop Computer Skills
- Basic personal computer skills
- Skilled in customer-facing communication including email and phone calls
