Project Highlights:
A view-first design with long east-facing panoramas; deep overhangs
for shade; stacked stone walls and warm wood balanced by slender black frames; great-room sliders that dissolve into the terrace for true indoor-outdoor living.
Overview
Set high on a ridgeline, Jade terraces with the slope to create layered decks, courtyards, and protected outdoor rooms. Glass provides both structure and view as tall frames set the horizon line, clerestories float the ceiling planes, and slim profiles keep the rest of the material palette—stone, steel, wood—front and center.
Horizon-Level Sightlines
The great room, kitchen, and terrace line up along a single view corridor so the eye runs from living space to pool to canyon without interruption.
- Floor-to-ceiling panes keep the scenery front and center.
- Wide openings slide away so gatherings move outside naturally.
- Slim, aligned frames keep the composition calm and clean.
- Clerestories lift the ceilings and bring in balanced daylight.
Desert-Ready Glazing
Performance-driven features serve the site and season as orientation, overhangs, and outdoor rooms work together. The home stays bright and comfortable while mitigating late-day heat.
Additional notes:
- Morning light, afternoon comfort. Views are captured while the harshest sun is kept at bay.
- Shade where you need it. Deep rooflines and covered walkways temper exposed glass.
- Breezes are invited in. Large openings encourage easy cross-flow in shoulder seasons.
Details that disappear. Recessed tracks and tidy alignments keep attention on the desert, not the hardware
Crafted to Disappear–So the Landscape Doesn’t
In this Crown Canyon home, the windows and doors are intentionally quiet. They’re there to frame, not compete. The architecture and the canyon do the talking, while the systems make the conversation seamless
