Previously, dealers looking to estimate powder coating costs often relied on a general rule of thumb, adding a flat percentage to the product total — helpful for budgeting, but potentially inaccurate depending on project size, product mix, and finish selection. For precise pricing, projects required a special request to Inside Sales, manually quoted through Excel, which could take anywhere from several days to more than a week. Today, that’s no longer necessary.

Accurate Pricing in Minutes

With powder coating now available directly within V6, dealers can select powder-coated finish options during the quoting process and receive highly accurate pricing instantly — eliminating the need for many manual pricing requests and giving immediate visibility into project costs.

Expanded Finish Options

Users can now access both standard and custom 2604 and 2605 powder coat color options directly within the Defaults section of V6. New quotes will continue to default to Black Anodized, but users can easily expand the finish menu and select the desired powder coat finish.

Once selected, V6 automatically applies the finish throughout the quote and calculates the associated powder coat pricing.

Better Reporting for Dealers

One of the biggest advantages of this update is improved reporting. In the past, accurate powder coat pricing was often delivered through Excel-based reports — effective, but lacking many of the presentation features dealers prefer when working with customers.

Now, dealers can utilize V6’s professional reporting tools while maintaining accurate powder coat pricing, creating a more polished quoting experience and simplifying customer communication.
