Simulated Divided Lites

Now Available

New Simulated Divided
Lite Options

More design flexibility has arrived at Awake. Our new Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) options are now available, giving architects, designers, builders, and homeowners another way to customize the appearance of Awake window and door systems while maintaining the clean, refined aesthetic our products are known for.

SDLs create the appearance of traditional divided glass by applying architectural profiles to the surface of the glass. The result adds depth, pattern, and definition to an opening without losing the expansive glass and refined proportions that define the Awake product family.

Four Distinct Profiles

3/4″ Standard

Minimal · Contemporary

Our most minimal SDL option. The narrow profile creates clean, contemporary lines while preserving as much visible glass as possible — ideal for projects looking for subtle architectural definition.

3/4″ Beveled

Refined · Traditional

The same slender 3/4-inch proportion with added dimensionality. The beveled face introduces subtle shadow lines and a more traditional character while maintaining a refined, understated appearance.

1-3/8″ Standard

Bold · Architectural

A wider profile designed to make the grid pattern more visually prominent. Its flat face provides stronger architectural definition while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.

1-3/8″ Beveled

Classic · Dimensional

The most dimensional of the four options. The wider profile combined with beveled detailing creates greater depth and a more classic, substantial appearance — well suited for projects where the divided-lite pattern is intended to become a stronger design element.

Together, the four options allow designers to move from minimal and contemporary to more dimensional and traditional, depending on the architectural language of the home.

More Ways to Make It Your Own

At Awake, customization has always been an important part of our approach. Every home is different, and its window and door systems should feel intentionally connected to the architecture.

The addition of SDLs expands that design vocabulary, making it possible to introduce more traditional, transitional, or contemporary grid patterns while retaining the narrow sightlines and expansive glass associated with Awake systems. Whether the design calls for a subtle 3/4-inch flat profile or the stronger presence of a 1-3/8-inch beveled profile, architects and designers now have another tool for tailoring the finished appearance of each opening.

The new Simulated Divided Lite options are available now. For available configurations, grid patterns, product compatibility, pricing, or assistance incorporating SDLs into an upcoming project, contact your Awake Territory Manager or local Authorized Dealer.
