Awake Window & Door Co. is proud to announce that three members of its leadership team, Scott Gates, CEO; Maria Gates, CPO; and John Engelstad, COO, have been named honorees in the prestigious Arizona State University Sun Devil 100, Class of 2026, presented by the ASU Alumni Association.
The Sun Devil 100 celebrates the achievements of ASU alumni who own or lead some of the fastest-growing businesses across the globe. Honorees will be recognized at the official awards celebration on April 24 at the Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, with a special honoree event held the evening prior at the Phoenix Zoo.
About the Sun Devil 100
Each year, the Sun Devil 100 recognizes companies that embody the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and leadership fostered within the ASU community. The Class of 2026 includes 225 honorees representing 162 companies, which collectively reported $74.9 billion in revenue for the 2024 fiscal year and employ nearly 219,000 professionals across multiple states and countries.
To qualify, companies must be ASU alumni-owned or led, demonstrate sustained revenue growth, and operate in alignment with the ASU Charter.

The recognition of Scott Gates, Maria Gates, and John Engelstad reflects both their individual leadership and the continued growth and momentum of Awake Window & Door Co.

The Recognition Events
Honorees will be formally recognized during the Sun Devil 100 Recognition Luncheon on April 24, where final rankings by category will be announced.
The evening prior, honorees and their guests will attend an exclusive Sun Devil 100 Social at the Phoenix Zoo, bringing together top Sun Devil entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the country.
