Awake Window & Door Co. is proud to announce that the 555 Series Pivot Door System has been recognized as the Most Innovative Entry Door in the 2026 Window + Door Awards — an honor that celebrates innovation and advancement within the fenestration industry, recently featured by Window + Door, the official publication of the National Glass Association.
The recognition highlights what has defined the 555 Series from the beginning: giving architects and designers greater freedom to create dramatic entrances without allowing conventional hardware limitations to dictate the design.

Unrestricted Pivot Point
At the heart of the system is Awake’s proprietary unrestricted pivot point assembly, which allows the pivot location to be adjusted rather than constrained by fixed hardware positions. This flexibility gives designers greater control over door movement, proportions, and overall composition while supporting exceptionally large panel sizes.
The system can also be configured with no-sill or low-sill conditions, helping maintain the clean transitions and minimal detailing characteristic of contemporary architecture.

Designed for Architecture Without Compromise
Window + Door highlighted the system in use at Canyon Vista, a private residence and retreat in Sedona, Arizona, designed by The Ranch Mine. At the home’s primary entrance, an 8-foot-wide 555 Series Pivot Door becomes much more than a way into the residence — its scale and minimal design make the entrance an architectural gesture in itself.
For Awake, this recognition reflects the philosophy behind our entire approach: engineer systems around the architecture rather than asking architects to design around the limitations of the system.
