Overview
Tucked into the ridge of a former mandarin farm with sweeping views in every direction, this home was designed as both a fresh start and a tribute to the land that’s been in the Lewis family for generations.
After living just down the road for decades, Sheri Lewis set out to create a space that honored her roots while embracing a distinctly modern vision of home.
After more than a year of environmental planning, the team broke ground on a minimalist structure that balances glass, light, and landscape. Builder John Nelson of JNT recommended Awake early on for their clean lines, performance-driven systems, and willingness to customize—qualities that became essential to executing Sheri’s vision with precision.
Built for Panoramic Living
With a 360-degree view and an open plan, Ridge Road was designed to dissolve the boundary between indoor comfort and outdoor majesty. Awake’s custom window and door systems made that possible.
The team worked to:
- Bury vertical interlocks into drywall for uninterrupted lines of sight
- Install floor-to-ceiling fixed glazing and disappearing multi-slide doors
- Mirror stone finishes from exterior to interior, divided only by glass
- Engineer a never-before-built magnetic door screen system
