No More Status Quo: the ^ in our logo

At Awake, our commitment goes beyond building exceptional windows. It’s about building lives—transforming them, shaping them, and making them something more than anyone could have ever imagined. From the very first day, every new employee is introduced to this intention during our “culture orientation,” where we share the powerful reason behind what we do.
We begin by explaining our logo. The five vertical lines represent prison bars—a reminder that we are a company that believes in second chances. But it’s the triangle in the logo, the ^, that truly captures the essence of what we stand for. The triangle points upward, symbolizing a commitment to personal growth, resilience, and the unwavering belief that everyone can rise above their circumstances. It’s more than a shape; it’s a vision—a vision that goes beyond just reducing recidivism. It’s about helping people thrive in both work and life.
The phrase “No More Status Quo” is more than a slogan—it’s a call to action. It’s a promise to our employees that their lives will not stay stagnant. That they won’t just settle for what they’ve been told they can have. They deserve more, and we’re here to help them reach it. We want to empower our team to break through barriers, to dream bigger, and to achieve things they never thought possible.
For some, “No More Status Quo” means getting a car—a symbol of independence and freedom. That’s why we partnered with Freebird Auto to help connect our employees with reliable “starter cars” that get them to work, visit loved ones, and take the steps toward self-sufficiency. For others, it means starting their own business, taking control of their financial future. Through our partnership with the Arizona Small Business Association, we provide the resources and guidance to help them turn their dreams into reality.
The stories are as varied as the people themselves. For Billy, it meant moving into his first apartment—a fresh start, a place to call his own. For Danny, it was about time with his family, reclaiming the moments that truly matter. For Ronnie, “No More Status Quo” meant giving back to his community by providing shoes to local students in need. For Jesse, it’s been about creating memories with his grandson, and for Aiden, it’s about stepping into fatherhood and embracing the challenges and joys that come with it. For Victor and Isela, it’s about building a future together, from engagement to dreaming of what lies ahead. And for David, it’s about owning his first home, made possible through a connection with Wright Realty and Awake.
None of this is about building windows. But everything we do, every window we craft, is a testament to why we do it. We are part of something bigger than ourselves. It’s not just about creating high-quality products—it’s about creating a space for people to thrive, to reach their potential, and to believe that a better life is possible.
What’s even more incredible is that we’ve completely lost control of the process—our employees have taken it and run with it. They are the ones helping one another, sharing resources, cheering each other on, and striving for more than they ever dared to dream. The triangle in our logo has become more than just an emblem of hope; it’s become the symbol of a movement—dozens of stories unfolding every day, of individuals stepping beyond the status quo and achieving things they once thought were out of reach.
