After nearly two decades in their former home, Mari and her husband weren’t actively looking to move—until they saw this view. Set high above the city, the home’s potential was undeniable. Their vision was clear: design a space that honored both the landscape and their love for art, ensuring the windows framed not just the outdoors but also their carefully curated interiors.
Working closely with their trusted builder, they discovered Awake Windows & Doors, whose sleek profiles and expansive openings became the foundation of their design. The result is a home that feels as open and vibrant as the city it overlooks.
Art, Light & Landscape in Perfect Harmony
Every detail of the home was guided by one defining element: the windows. The design team meticulously planned each placement to create a seamless connection between architecture and environment. The stairwell window—Mari’s personal favorite—casts shifting light patterns throughout the day, while the study’s corner window frames an outdoor sculpture like a living art piece.
Even private spaces were designed with openness in mind. The primary bath features a striking window above the shower, offering a serene view without sacrificing privacy. The result? A home where every sightline tells a story.

With an emphasis on seamless indoor-outdoor flow, the window and door selections were made to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. Every element was chosen to maximize views, improve natural light, and create an effortless connection to the outdoors.
We collaborated to:

- Optimize natural light with minimal-framed windows, reducing the need for artificial lighting.
- Customize divided light configurations for perfectly balanced proportions.
