Anodized (In-Stock)

Our most popular finish color is Black anodized. We use a Class 1 coating thickness for increased durability. before anodization, our material is acid-etched to ensure a clean, matte finish. Since this is the only finish color we stock, our Black Anodized color typically has our shortest lead time.

Powder Coat AAMA 2604 & AAMA 2605

We offer a variety of powder coat finishes from IFS coatings. Their architectural powder coatings are tough, weatherable, environmentally friendly, and meet and exceed a variety of AAMA performance specifications. Awake products can be powder coated to meet AAMA 2604 or 2605 standards, providing you flexibility to select the paint finish that best meets your budget or the performance needs of your project.

Powder Coat Custom Colors

If you would like a color different than the standard colors listed above, IFS coatings can color match to almost any custom color of your choosing. Our color matching process is fairly simple and you can work with our dealer to facilitate.

Energy Efficiency

Our dual seal silicone insulated glass units utilize cutting edge LowE technologies to achieve the highest levels of energy efficiency. We offer a variety of coatings from industry leaders such as PPG, Guardian, and Cardinal. Insulated glass units are also available with argon gas.

Low-Iron Clarity

For those wanting to truly maximize their view, we offer a variety of low iron glass options such as Starphire from PPG. Low-iron glass typically has a ferric oxide content about ten times less than ordinary plate glass. This low iron content is what provides the glass with exceptional color neutrality and clarity, enabling you to capture your view as clearly as possible.

Laminate

We offer a variety of laminated glass options which offer improved safety, structural advancement, and sound deadening. Our laminate offerings come in a variety of colors, low-e styles, and interlayer thicknesses.

Spacer

All of our IG units are available with a warm-edge Ultimate Swisspacer (black color) or a standard stainless steel (black or satin color).

Yale Multi-Point Lock

Our 505 series hinged door utilizes a cutting-edge multi-point lock from Yale. After the lifting the handle, the innovative design rolls the latches into the jambs to pull the door panel tight. This lock enables us to produce a door leaf as large as 48” x 120” despite having a sightline of only 4-5/8”. This multi-point lock also has a “babysitter feature”, which allows the thumb turn to engage the single-point deadbolt and lock the door even when the multi-point is not engaged.

Ferraro Handle

Our 505 series Hinge door comes standard with the Ferraro handle from Yale. The contemporary and squared styling make it a perfect fit for the minimalist aesthetic of the Awake product family. The Ferraro handle and escutcheon are always finished to match the exterior powder coat color you selected on your hinged door. If you chose a black anodized finish, the Ferraro handle and escutcheon will be painted black, not anodized.

Giesse Hinges

Our 505 Series can be hinged utilizing the three knuckle Giesse hinges. These fully adjustable hinges can handle oversize weight loads and are always finished to match the exterior powder coat paint color you selected on your hinged door. If you choose a black anodized finish, the Giesse hinges will be a painted black finish, not anodized.

Continuous Hinge

Our Hinged Door also offers a surface mounted continuous hinge. The clean hinge almost disappears into the product since it is always finished to match the exterior powder coat paint color you selected on your hinged door. If you choose a Black anodized finish, the continuous hinge will be black anodized as well.

Low Sill

The low sill on the hinged door is a great choice when you desire view maximization. When this sill is chosen, the sill and bottom rail have a sightline of only 3.72”. The outswing configuration is best for conditions with limited overhang or in which protecting finish floor is critical. The Inswing door has a limited water rating.

High Sill

The Slotted sill on the hinged door is a great choice when you are in a tougher climate with harsher rain conditions, or you are focused on protecting your interior finished floor (i.e. custom hardwood). The Slotted sill and bottom rail still have a narrow sightline of only 4.37”. The outswing configuration is best for conditions with limited overhang or in which protecting finished floors is critical. The Inswing door has a limited water rating.

Common Mull

In most instances, our Hinged Door can common mull (utilizing our custom mull clip) to other hinged doors, operable windows, fixed window walls, or patio doors. In this image an awning window is common mulled next to the hinged door.

1-3/8” T-Bar Inserts

Our Hinge Door can be inserted into our 1-3/8” T-Bar to keep sight lines as narrow as possible.

Our 505 Series Hinged Door does not come with a standard screen. A variety of after market solutions are available to be purchased separately.
